Not really. Gains have been fukked all year due to the trade war and now it's worse. China just suspended all US agricultural purchases in response to the Trump admin officially labeling the country as a currency manipulator.

Both countries have brought out their big guns. If cooler heads don't win out - or if some type of temporary truce isn't found - the US economy is fukked. Trade wars do NOT work. Especially not against a totalitarian regime that does not have to answer to elections or people. Trump has to worry about elections...Xi doesn't. China will win.
