Scott was just protecting Lin.

I refuse to believe Byron Scott is dumb enough to not tell them to foul immediately. It's simple basketball sejse, high school coaches who drive Saturns know better, Byron does too.
Byron had no trouble calling his players out in the past. Even Stu Lantz said Byron told Lin not to foul. Byron probably thought we had more than .02 left on the clock, but even then it doesn't make any sense not to foul.

You know what? Honestly I have no clue why you even have coaches with players like Kobe or Peyton Manning. Like what do you tell these guys?

So Lin listens to the actual coach and he's the dumbass? :usure:

No, but he clearly wasn't thinking on his feet. In this case, Lin should have made a judgement call and fouled. From what I saw in the video, there wasn't a reason for them to hold off on the foul.

Shot clock for Memphis was 0.2 seconds off of the game time; they could have easily burned clock and won the game is there was no foul.
