I feel like a good barometer AEW should use to justify pushing younger talents or the slighter build guys is if you’re willing to put the work in the weight room for noticeable gains then you’re going to start getting more opportunities.

It just shows that you’re willing to put in the correct work to get better rather than just going thru the motions to keep treading water.

I mean like look at Nick Wayne. Yeah he still has a long way to go, but he’s clearly put in some significant work to bulk up. Of course there’s always exceptions, like Darby Allin.

There’s other metrics I would use to. Like say going to acting and improv classes to help with promos and character work.

Feels like some of these guys just train in the ring and don’t do anything else. And some of them ain’t even putting in productive reps because they are the same as they were years ago.
