West is 45-19 against the east this year

:wow:

No for real it's ridiculous how lopsided it is...I mean wasn't there a year that even the 8 seed in the West had 50 wins? The East has only had one or two very good teams over the past years, that's how Boston and Miami got to the Finals multiple times, it helps not having to go through Dallas, OKC, Memphis, SA, LAL a couple years back...It's absurd really

The East was pretty good in 2009, 2010, 2011, and in 2012.

The was almost as good as the west in 2012 matter fact

Raptors are a good team, but they'd be a 6th-7th seed in the West.

It took a 32-11 free throw differential/advantage for them to barely beat a non -playoff western conference team (Suns) at home.

I like the Raps, just not sold on them.Would love to see them come out the East because I always root for the underdog.

I just feel like if you put them in a playoff series against bottom dwelling teams like the Kings or Suns, the only difference maker would be who has homecourt advantage.

If the Raps had homecourt, I'd pick them

If not, I'd take the Suns/Kings.

Hmm...i'd rather see the East vs West stats, and the top teams in the west (SA, LAL, Dallas, OKC) seem to have been playing better basketball over the years than in the East (Boston, Miami, Indiana, Chicago).

The Heat swept the Texas triangle that year, the other teams all beat the Lakers besides the Celtics, the Bulls had the best record that year because they beat. the Spurs

I am all for top 16 seeds regardless of conference and I acknowledge their is an imbalance, however it is sorely overstated. The West consistently has more middle of the pack squads. The conferences are usually pretty close in terms of teams that have a realistic shot at the title. The difference tends to shrink come playoff time. You move SA and LA to the East in 1999 and the convo is completely flipped.
