Right now the pundit class has been tasked with spreading the message, "Actually the economy is great! People just think it's bad because they're hearing people say it's bad."

You'll notice this on TV and social media, if you haven't seen it already.

We have an idiot
You are conflating two things , pandemic specific policy safety nets and the US economy. The US economy is in good shape, the US labor market is very strong, the last jobs report in august showed a gain of 187,000 jobs, the labor force participation rate is high meaning folks who want a job can find one and average hourly earnings are up as well and inflation is way down as well. The reason the pandemic policy safety nets like the child tax credit was renewed is due to unanimous opposition from all republicans in congress and a handful of democrats(sinema and joe manchin) to renew it, this programs were design to be temporary relief during the pandemic era

This guy is a boot licking autistic fakkit. You know where the boot licking and fakkit comes from but the fact you always write in italics and have a Spider-Man avatar as a grown man has to mean you’re autistic.

gas just went up 50 cents in a fukkin week, to almost 5 dollars where im at. and as far as i can tell, biden is either incapable or unwilling to address it. this shyt is unacceptable

if trump is running on 2 dollar gas next year, and biden is still telling people to "just go buy an electric car" , im not confident in biden winning at all. this is the one fukking issue that affects 95 percent of voters, and the dems are failing on messaging, badly :snoop:

How about the hundreds of billions Trump demanded printed and handed straight to Wall Street to keep the stock market looking pretty? :sas1:

Who's footing the bill for that? :sas2:

Besides, haven't you heard we have infinite money? :lolbron:

so tired of people bringing up the stimmy for reasons for inflation. your right it was miniscule in comparison to how much money was pumped into the market to keep it afloat.

investment brehs will remember, but im not sure about anybody else. the market actually did crash for a very short time in the middle of the shutdowns thats when that money printer really went into overdrive:mjpls:

But they got all the money in the world for Ukraine
Not for long. They've already put out feelers to end that shyt.

pretty common historically after pandemics
True, but we live in the age of technological capabilities beyond the dreams of people of the past. We have metamaterials. And we can't fix poverty? Our ruling class chooses not to fix poverty. They like it, they enjoy it.

That’s really crazy to think about, and honestly I’ve realized that our technology has evolved but we as a human race actually hasn’t. I’m at the point where I’ve honestly stopped giving a damn about most of this new tech because it falls into 4 categories these days for me: it’s too expensive, designed to be outdated, actually useful, will be used to control your reality.

Poverty increasing, crime increasing, suicide increasing, it’s quite interesting. I’m spending a lot of time researching the past now cause I feel like humanity focuses so much on the future that most people are starting to lose sight of the present.

Just my rant though, idk what’s really going on

the ether
Did you think all the covid money was for free?

Who did you think was going to foot the bill? :patrice:

That has nothing to do with what the post is showing at all.

No it is not. The rate at which inflation is increasing has slowed. This is being misreported everywhere as "inflation is down."

That's a bizarre claim. The 12-month inflation rate used to be 8-9%, now it's at 3-4%. Are you saying that inflation isn't actually "down" until we go into a recession?

For comparison, 3% inflation was pretty typical throughout the 1990s/2000s....it's only been much lower recently because wage growth and employment were so stagnant after the 2008 crash.
