Man I'm on the fence about this

Ignore the few console stan weirdos and Skyrim evangelist zoomers in this thread; this was GOTY when it came out, and is the #1 seller on steam now in its remastered version (despite quite literally ZERO marketing ahead of release) for a reason. If you played and were a fan of the original, like other Bethesda games but never tried this, or like open ended fantasy style RPGs with huge worlds to explore, then there should be plenty for you to enjoy in this. It's on gamepass and isn't a full price $70 (soon to be $80-90... ) release if you're curious about trying it out.

I will say that performance/optimization is far from perfect being an unreal engine 5 game, so if your PC is potato status and not close to the recommended specs, or god help you you wanna run this on Steam deck or a series S... then your hesitation might be justified.

The tall glitch is making this shyt unplayable. I don't know how this hasn't been discussed in the thread (or maybe I missed it) but my character keeps turning 7 feet tall and making it impossible to go through doorways, some tunnels, ultimately breaking the game because I can't complete quests this way.


The "fix", for when you nikkas ultimately run into this nonsense, is to go into third person, manually save your game, RESTART THE ENTIRE PROGRAM, then load your manual save (do not press continue). I've had to do this shyt at least three times already. I refuse to keep playing this way, a patch is necessary. Totally ruins the experience.


I assume if you only play in 3rd person you likely won't run into this issue. But what kinda animal plays Bethesda games completely in 3rd

Damn im having way much fun but there are things missing that i feel skyrim definitely was dope for was using the ingredients for cooking in a stove. the blacksmithing thing. that's my only gripe. other than that the graphics is amazing and im having fun... having a bit of issue with the alchemy wish it was more refined like skyrims too but alas I guess i gotta deal with it.

I Think they fixed that.... I havent had an issue with it yet.. but im sure its coming...
