Classic album to me. Em's production was on point and he was going in lyrically. I remember going to CIRCUIT CITY on that Sunday to get it and making sure I was one of the first people because I wanted the bonus DVD that came with it.

"Sing for the Moment" was my favorite song off that album.

Dude was spitting some real talk in the 3rd Verse, I've had many shytty days where I just wanted to go home and listen to some Pac or Nas. :to:

"Cleaning Out my Closet" & Solider was dope as well, I remember Lloyd Banks had a dope freestyle to that beat a while back.

10 years later, Im skipping over a lot of joints, but lyrically this was the apex. He killed every single verse

Say Goodbye To Hollywood is a gem, wish he rocked a whole album over Mel-Man/Dre funk like that

Love this album. I had so much anticipation for this album back when i was subscribed to XXL and seeing the promo ad for this album in almost every issue.

Then when it finally came out i just sat in front of my stereo, pressed play:wow::to::ohhh::whew:

nowhere near a classic IMO, was great when it dropped but like all Em albums it wore off quickly for me. the production wasn't that good to me even at the time, Em's plodding beats weren't what i was looking for although he has his high points with the beats.

Aged horribly IMO.

Eminem sounds like the greatest rapper ever when you're thirteen, but when/if you grow up :francis:

I stopped listening to Em after Encore, but I thought i'd give some of his old stuff another listen. In all honesty this just sounds like juvenile garbage with bad production and bad vocals. Possibly the most overrated album ever.

This was Em's best album hands down. His apex both lyrically and production wise. He wasn't doing a bunch of bullshyt singing, screaming, Punjabi accents, nor trying to pack 133 syllables into 4 bars. This is the only Em album that I constantly come back to. Sing For The Moment, Til I Collapse, When The Music Stops, Business, Say What U Say, and a couple others, just dope rhymes and dope beats. Damn shame he lost his ear for production and spent too much time trying to be a technical expert rhyming instead of just making good songs. Encore sucked, Relapse was bad, and Recovery was a commercial mess, and the Em of old would've been embarrassed at that. MMLP2 was forgettable. His 1st 3 albums would have him as top 10 ever, but unfortunately, he dropped 4 more recycle bin type albums afterwards.
