I know there are at least 2 "official" threads to discuss this, but I've only just started the 2nd ep so I'm avoiding all potential spoiler territory in there.....

Help me out....I'm I supposed to buy that a guy being named the fukking VICE PRESIDENT in like 5 days is going to wander into a public subway and just shove a bytch in front of the tracks? :mindblown:

Suspension of disbelief is one thing.....but brehs......I'm kinda like :stopitslime: right now

...and that when we see the security camera footage they're somehow unable to rewind to what happened BEFORE she "jumped" or "tripped"?

:russ: Would have been better if he walked off
and some other dude pushed her into the tracks.

After the initial shock, I kinda had the :ld: after seeing the VP doing something like that. Killing Russo was already :patrice: but to do some blatant shyt like that, IDK.

And about the tape, the chick, seconds before tripping/jumping in front of the train, quickly moves to the other side of the construction barrier, no one thinks that's strange?

Exactly. First response was :merchant:

Then about 20 min into the next episode it was more like :ld:

It was outlandish:manny: That said, based on where the camera was, he wouldn't have ever been seen. It would look like a lady looking at her phone, turning to walk around the barrier, coming back, and tripping. I was talking to my boy and said that was almost a jumping the shark moment; not because of the implausibility of Frank getting away with it, but because it's the VP doing something like that. I argued that Frank's henchman Doug Stamper should be dealing with her. But after some thought, you can argue it was a really well thought out plan. Zoe is already under the impression Frank is a murderer. She most likely isn't going to meet up with anyone but him because she'll think it's a set up to murder her. Frank schedules the meeting based on the train schedule, stands where the cameras wont see him, has her delete any contact they've had on her cell and then pushes her on the tracks. Obviously, there's the chance he could have been seen by someone else on the platform, but it's TV and at the end of the day it was a hell of a way to kick the season off.

I see it the same way. She wouldn't have met with anyone else. Was it convenient? Yes. Was it a jump the shark moment? I don't think so. I'm on ep 7 though, so we'll see how it all plays out. Also, I think they were following the British version of the show too? Except in that one she got pushed off a roof I think.

I just got into this show, watched the whole first season in the last week and the first episode of season 2 just now.

I loved the first season and though it was a little implausible at times, there was nothing TOO ridiculous and overall it was more on the Sopranos/Wire level of believability than Breaking Bad/The Shield. With this moment, I don't know. I have a bad feeling it jumped the shark.

At first I was like :ohhh:, this is one of those epic moments! But after about 30 seconds I realize that that's not Frank's character at all. It makes sense that he would think it was enough of a problem by that point to be ended, but for him to do it himself right there with his own hands, in a public place, was ridiculous. Even a straight up assassination a day later would've been a lot more acceptable.

I was expecting to watch like 4 or 5 episodes of this right now and I don't care to start the next one. Wasn't that big of a fan of Zoey but that's some goofy shyt that belongs in a Sons of Anarchy type show.

On another note, Janine:shaq:

Nah, murder in public is a whole different level of "not giving a fukk"

It was the kind of murder that even a pure evil killer like Chris Partlow wouldn't even be audacious enough to commit.

I agree that this follows the line of him getting frustrated with people failing to get in line with his plans. He murked Russo himself, and he had to take Zoe out on his own, too. He purposefully didn't fill Stamper in on any details of Russo's death, so why would he give him the job of killing one of the only people that was aware it was probably a murder?

It just plain had to be done. She wouldn't drop the issue, and couldn't be controlled anymore.

Killing her like that on the platform was a little :patrice: but I hated her and was hoping she'd get got so :pacspit:

But can we talk about Claire? She and Stamper have been the most interesting to me cuz you know they're bout that life but we hadn't seen fully to what extent, that boss move she pulled with the medicine. :whew: bytch had me thinking she really wanted a baby lol
