Man, these last 2 years been huge since the ESPN branch has started. Just seeing how much hype has been built for Jorge vs Diaz fight.

These dudes dont have great records, but their track record is both just gangsta as hell and the UFC has actually used that as a marketing strategy which is a genius idea cause they both have built fan bases off being hood :yeshrug:, best way to explain it.

Have yall noticed the popularity starting to increase again (had a rough stretch without Bones Jones and Connor fighting)

This has nothing to do with ESPN, UFC has had little buzz this year.

Nate has had a million plus IG followers for years, his comeback has been a shot in the arm.

Masvidal has been brewing up a buzz for a couple of years as well, it was topped with that flying knee KO.

UFC is taking advantage of both characters with a made up title to help generate more buzz, nothing to with ESPN.

ESPN has been great for making Dana and WME more money, not really great overall for furthering the UFC's brand or making more stars. Most cards are hidden behind a paywall and now PPVs are hidden behind a double paywall. Diaz vs Masvidal would have got the same hype if the same circumstances, Diaz coming back and Masvidal having a viral knockout, happened under the Fox banner.

Thanks for being a real nikka and giving an actual legit opinion. Good lookin out fam, The Coli needs more nikkas on that tip.

I agree with your point, but idk man, these last few PPV"s have all been good and The GOAT Amanda fights again in a month. Their best fighters stay active on some 3-4 fights per year type shyt. Name the last boxing superstar to fight that often (something that has hurt boxing for years, top level nikkas maxing out at 2 fights per year is trash).

Most UFC champs fight 2x a year if that due to injuries and risking losing the belt and those paydays, Max Holloway and Jon Jones are a bit of an analomy fighting 3x in a calendar year because Max is trying to make up for lost time that he missed due to pullouts, and Jones doing the same because of suspensions. Contenders will fight more often because those guys aren't making the same kind of money as the top level boxers.
