As I've told you time and time again, the state of the Nets culture is down to a lack of leadership and accountability, and KD is not absolved from that.
And what did you just respond to that tears down me saying Kyrie is his own man?

You quoted a buffoon with a forced take. Had he stopped and said he left Golden State to play with Kyrie it would’ve been fine. But saying its his fault that Kyrie is a buffoon and wants his bread is outright dumb.

Forced take

When did SAS say that it was KD's fault that Kyrie is way he is?

You're punching nothing but air with that strawman.

He's saying that nobody should sympathize with KD because this was his choice to play with Kyrie, and he didn't do what was necessary to pull Kyrie in line to stop him from being a constant distraction. As a leader of the team, he bears responsibility for that. He bears responsibility for how shyt unraveled with Harden and Kyrie too. He bears responsibility for why the Nets culture is in that state it's in.

Nobody forced KD to go play with Kyrie. That was his choice.

He clearly says its KDs fault in saying hes not telling Kyrie “stop letting me down!!”

Sassy A likely also believes “say no to drugs” was a great campaign to stop drug use looking at how stupid his take is here.

You're not framing what he said in its appropriate context.

- His point is he doesn't feel sorry for KD
- He layers this point by saying that when did KD step up and tell Kyrie to stop letting him down.

SAS acknowledges Kyrie is on some clown shyt, but doesn't feel sympathy for KD because he should've told Kyrie to stop being a distraction.

Clearly he believes KD has not had those conversations with Kyrie and the outcome being Kyrie’s posture is his fault.

That shyt is DUMB.

He believes that KD didn't do what was necessary to stop Kyrie from being a distraction, and he's fair in saying that.

I must stress that this is not just on KD, but everyone that's in the organization, but the greater point here is that, nobody should feel sorry for him.

I think people are overstating how much influence KD & the nets have over Kyrie. Kyrie lost millions over a stupid tweet, and somehow KD is partially responsible for that? The nets couldn't get him to take a vaccine or immediately apologize for the tweet either. Kyrie is smart enough to know how to handle these situations, he is just stubborn.

How would Steven A know about every conversation that KD has with Kyrie? Kyrie is responsible for his own actions, and by saying that KD has to take some of the blame is just letting Kyrie off of the hook.

It's less about blaming KD for Kyrie's actions, and more about not sympathizing with him.

Which is the point of this thread.

KD made his bed and he had to lie in it.

Agree with the Nets culture sucking and all of that. Not so sure KD deserves that blame.

I don’t blame Dame, Edwards, or Luka for their organization’s handling/running of the franchise.

Why would I hate KD?

This isn't about necessarily blaming him.

This thread was made based on the premise of folks feeling sorry for him. He put himself in this situation. It wasn't like he was drafted to the Nets, and they attained these players to put around him. He choose to go to BK and team up with Kyrie and then he choose bring along Harden for the ride. That experiment failed miserably, and KD bears responsibility with how shyt has eventuated.

It's been one problem after another, after another and after another (all of which have been a result of the players), and KD nor anyone else has done what's necessary to rectify it. Therefore, it's fair to say that nobody should feel sorry for him.

I don't know why you're bringing up Ant and Luka. They're both young players on teams that they were drafted to, and haven't been a part of the drama/turmoil that the Nets have. Their situations are not even comparable with this.
