Matt Stafford
Matt Flynn with the Seahawks
Matt Cassel with the Cowboys

Any starting QB named Matt, really. :ohhh:

Flynn threw the ball 5 times as a Seahawk. He never started a game.
Watch ya mouth

The gawd is 22-11 since signing his deal.
Won a division title
Won a passing title
Was an all-pro
:whew:

You forgot Romo won 1 playoff game since the new contract.

The Yay
This offense under Kyle Shanahan is a zone run blocking scheme that Matt's never run before and he's attempting to master it.
this is nonsense.

zone RUN blocking scheme can be hard for the oline to master, true. it can be a bad fit for RBs who arent decisive, true.

but there is very little for a QB to do differently under a zone RUN blocking scheme, because zone RUN blocking scheme only works when you run the ball. all you need to know is how to hand the ball off in inside zone and outside zone

if we're talking about zone blocking in general, theres still little for qbs to adap to- there will be more short passes and it allows for more playaction. ie, it's pretty qb-friendly. the most detrimental thing it does is get rid of long passing in favor of shorter routes- something that a qb like matt ryan should have no problems doing

:francis: Sorry, but your analysis is poor and clearly indicates that you do not watch the games. These raw target numbers simply fail to account for game flow and play-calling tendencies.

There will be 4 consecutive drives in which Julio is not targeted seemingly every game. He is taken off the field on 1st (and sometimes 2nd) down, even during pass plays, at an alarming rate. Many of these targets are horrific force-attempts by Matt Ryan into double coverage that have little to no chance of being caught and serve only to inflate this (largely useless) statistic.:scust:

Julio Jones has an 85.1% offensive snap percentage, which is good for 17th among WRs, and unforgivably low by any metric... his snap percentage is lower than offensive stalwarts such as Rueben Randle, James Jones, Allen Hurns, and Golden Tate. :mindblown:

Please explain how having your best receiving threat by a country mile sit out 15 out of every 100 plays is beneficial to your team's success. :jbhmm:

Your filtering that wrong, he's 4th in offensive snaps by a wide receiver with only Hopkins having a considerable chunk more. People playing special teams screw up the % metric.

Right now, Jones averages a target his way ever 4.5 snaps he's on the field....far and away the highest usage rate among top wide outs. No one can crack 5.5, let alone anything under 5. If he played as many snaps as Hopkins, he would have 180 targets right now. That is CRAZY usage.

The numbers proof that Ryan is attempting (at the HIGHEST rate of any QB in the league) to get the ball to Jones whenever possible, for better or worse, so I would suggest you get mad at him for forcing too many balls into him rather than asking for him to be included more.

:dahell: How would playing special teams affect offensive snap percentage when there is a completely separate statistic for special teams snap percentage? Serious question, cause maybe I'm just embarrassing myself right now but I can't make any fukking sense of it:dwillhuh:

Lol, when you look at that stat, the percentage of offensive snaps is based on how many snaps they played were on offense, true, but if you rank them not by the percentages but the amount of offensive snaps, then compare it to targets, you'll see what I'm talking about.

"ATL been soft ever since Rodgers came thru and crushed the buildings..."

Yeah I remember the 2012, 13-3 year but that 2010 year was THEIR window. The 2010 year was a culmination of Ryan coming into his own and Smitty living up to the promise he had showed the prior two seasons. Ever since they got their shyt pushed back by Green Bay in the playoffs AT THE DOME ive known they were pretenders and Ryan wasn't the guy.

this isnt a surprise....he looks the part, so they gonna use every excuse to justify why he isnt performing on an elite level besides stating the obvious answer: he's just not an elite level qb....do i think you can win games with him? yes, but you cant make him the focal point...also, he needs a good te.....

This exactly.

Matt Ryan and Jeff Fisher are the kings of looking the part and under performing.

the 9ers game actually was a hell of a game and ATL hung in there til the very end (though ATL ALMOST shyt the bed against Seattle in the Divisional Round). 9ers were balling on nikkas running the read option and their D was legit so shyt you cant even blame ATL. But the 2010-2011 Packers? Those nikkas wild carded in, were injured all to hell, and had 96 year old Charles Woodson as the cornerstone of their Defense. Mind you they caught fire in the last few weeks and Rodgers was on a mission (and hadn't left the condo) but shyt to get beat down at home like that as the #1 seed in the NFC was jaw dropping, IMO at least.
