How in the fukk are so many people disagreeing? It’s common fukking sense. It’s crazy how those of us that did almost everything Mike said are doing damn well in life; white supremacy, hold us back this and that, won’t let black people get ahead, blah fukkin blah…we are doing just fine.

Not that we wouldn’t be doing better if shyt was fair, but we have too many resources to make an excuse on why we aren’t doing well. You can teach yourself anything at any time with the internet to increase your skills and make money in so many ways so there is just no excuse.

I saw F.D Signifier talking about this, and I disagreed with his take about calling this "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" talk.

Yeah capitalism sucks, but a Socialist Revolution is not happening tomorrow. The next Vladimir Lenin is not emerging any time soon. Black people have to exist and find ways to live comfortably in the society and economic system they currently live in right now.

Saying things like black people need to go to school, learn skills that are valuable to the market, live below their means, and find alternative streams of revenue is not simping for capitalism, but just the basis for what should be the standard in black households, because we're at the bottom of society economically. We can figure out the rest simultaneously or later.

There's a bizarre assumption that this ISN'T the status quo. People have been trying to do this. The average black person understands that they need to save money, but there has been a concentrated effort to lock us out of the kind of government programs that created the white middle class which turned into the white upperclass.
