The American public (black folks included) are not sufficiently educated to understand that modern WS arent hurling the N word and wearing white pointy hats. I would say most on average probably don't know much about Elon Musk outside of knowing he owns Tesla and Twitter (X) but not him as a person or where his personality lies.

Unfortunately, sometimes you have to willingly seek (research) info to know more about certain types of people and their past or present...like Mark Wahlberg for example there are probably a lot of Black people who aren't aware of his racist past either, likely due to not seeking more info about him (outside of his acting).

Sometimes you gotta be willingly interested in knowing, otherwise, you'll be left in the dark.
