Carjacking is when you steal a occupied car with violence. It’s not the same as stealing empty parked cars . Life sentence is not really that extra. You get killed in a lot of other countries for that behavior

On September 13, 1994, § 2119 was amended to read as follows:

Getting car jacked has always been one of my fears while driving, its the sole reason I have a gun in the car.....

If my shyt got stolen while I was sleeping, that's different....but to have someone run up on you and threaten your life over a damn car is pretty much the same to me as a armed home invasion.

A dude car jacked my momma at gun point a couple years ago...stole her car and left her stranded with no money or phone. She had to walk like 20 mins to a convenience store to call the police and my lil brother
