Female MC's have never fully been embraced. That female MC shyt died off in the 80's, since then the only females who have been tolerated are the cute ones who overtly sell sex. Of course u have your hand full of exceptions (ie: Lauryn, Missy, Jean Grea, Remy) they are exceptions not the rule.
