Good thread, I was gonna make one similar.

Hell In A Cell used to be cuz it was meant to be a feud ender type of match, or an escalation to the point where you have to do it. Match would be crazy too ... nowadays shyt is pretty watered down, people barely use the cell and they almost never go out.

i still dont see how mick was able to walk after hell in a cell..everything about that match was ..the visuals brehs ...the falls, the thumbtacks, the vacant nobody's home look from foley, the sick bloody smile, etc etc

I don't think that first HIAC could've worked without those two in it. The build-up and match were absolute perfection.

I remember ordering that PPV when I was a kid.

The image of Shawn covered in blood being dragged backstage by HHH and Chyna is Iconic. Plus you had the debut of Kane.

That was the best one. Taker/Foley gets a bunch of talk because those big falls but HBK/Taker was the better match to me. Taker was straight up killing Shawn out there.

Badd Blood 97 was the first ppv I got as a youngster. My family watched it with me, everybody was like: "He put a whooping on that boy. I ain't never seen somebody get beat like that."

Kane looked like a monster too, ripping the cell door off and storming into the ring. They had already built up Kane for a while anyway and when he debuted It was crazy.

Taker/Mankind has a more legendary impact, and being at that event makes it one of my favorite moments/matches ever.. but to be honest the match it self sucked.

HBK/Taker at Badd Blood on the other hand is one of the best matches of all time.

The look on HBK's face when Taker sat up was classic. Just a classic match all around and like someone else said, it wouldn't have worked with any other two guys. The build of the feud, the match in general, and Kane's debut and how they built him up before he even showed his face
