more people are walking around tracks/elliptical these days

its that they work out, and continue to eat like sh!t.

You cant walk 30 mins and then go eat like a 12 year old and expect to have good health.

young people need to be doing waaaay more than riding an exercise bike for 20-30min a couple times a week

Don't agree. People in other countries eat like shyt too. They just get way more daily exercise walking to work etc. I'm from the dirty South where people been eating salty fatty food for probably 200 years and didn't start developing diabetes and hypertension until the last few decades when they weren't doing mostly farm work. IMO it's all about that daily exercise.

My uncle just started power walking 30 minutes about 5x a week and lost about 50-60 lbs.

Portion control/quality food>>>working out.

Both would be best but you cant outwork a bad diet, its just as simple as that.

Those other countries don't eat near in excess as we do.

To be healthy you need to be active, eating healthy wont matter if all you do is sit around and do nothing all day. (most people with 9-5 office jobs) Its way better than eating like a slob and doing nothing but still. But if your eating like a slob and active your bound to be just as un healthy as someone that eats healthy but isn't really active anyway :yeshrug:.


Portion control and just a 1-3 hours a week of activity would change most peoples life. You dont even have to change what your eating some much as to how much of it you eat and knowing your caloric intake and stopping before you reach it everyday.

and for the others saying that she aint the GOAT first lady, she still has two years left, plus she is relatively young. I think she will eventually surpass Eleanor, but if we are being real, Hillary has to be in the conversation as well. Her career post-presidency has arguably been larger than Eleanor.

TBH, it hurts to say, but I think race will keep Michelle from being as effective as Eleanor. Back then was a different time- imagine the Roosevelts in todays media age. Eleanor would have been outed as a lesbian, and FDR would be on TMZ getting head in his wheelchair.

Dude, people from other countries are getting mad diabetes, heart disease, cancer, all that stuff. Go to Mexico, Philippines, India, all sorts of places I've been had epidemic unhealthy lifestyles by anyone living on that processed food.

The sort of processed food crap with huge amounts of sugar and fat and simple carbs that Americans eat only became worldwide recently. But everywhere that mad unhealthy processed food has spread, the populations that eat them have gotten sick and fat.

I wouldn't have believed it before, but it's true. Diet and exercise are both important, but a bad diet will catch up to anyone eventually, whether they exercise or not.
