Good to finally hear from Copani about his feelings on the character and why he retired from the ring. One thing about it he was one of their real true heels who everyone hated and Vince probably would have put the title on him eventually if the controversy hadn't occurred.

Yea once this happened, it was a wrap. Hassan went from putting a different take on a foreign heel with an intriguing character, to being a regular generic foreign heel. Let's say he did go back to OVW for awhile, 6-9 months. Unless he went under a mask or something, there would've been no way to get away from that character.
