Also watch that scene again, after Caitlin and Cisco saw Zoom their faith dropped to the negatives. Caitlin even told Barry to run away cuz he stood no chance. Joe almost killed Wells for putting his son in that position. They should've listened to Jay and took a step back to train up some more instead of going headstrong like Wells gassed them up to do, cuz remember Jay went to them for help. If he wanted to run he wouldn't have shown up in the first place. Dude had faith in a procedure, no Kamikaze tactics.

Jay didnt go to them for help like that.. He didnt voluntarily go through the wormhole like Wells did.. He got sucked in.. then yes he saw the flash adn studied him... then he showed up at STAR labs and said E1 was in danger.. he didnt show up like hey.. I need you help to beat this guy from my world.. he said your world is on danger.. thats fear...

I watched it like 10 times last night.. I'm saying to myself.. is that the season finale .. see you again next October... That type of beating is saved for a season cliff hanger..

One thing not to get lost in the discussion is that Zoom has been getting stronger for two years as well. His rate of increase is much higher than Jay's own. Jay was, as far as I know, tackling all the villains in addition to Zoom dolo. The only thing that I was able to note is that Jay is smarter i.e. higher intelligence than Barry. He doesn't have a support system in place to help him understand the Speed Force, develop tactics, weapons and save his ass when Zoom is playing Pong with his him all over Earth 2.

I can't wait to find out how Zoom has been getting stronger if they decide to show it. I do like this trend of villains actually being scary/ intimidating. I will note that that is probably due to my lack of knowledge of The Flash and his universe. It's tough to be impressed by villains that I have seen my whole life like those from the more commonly known superhero universes.

While Zoom absorbs speed he's not actually using it to run or fight fast like RF or Barry, he's actually manipulating time, slowing it down relative to himself, that makes him seem faster and stronger than anyone else. It's what makes him unique to other speedsters.
