Dude told Barry exactly what would happen if he fought Zoom and Barry wouldn't listen. It's not Garrick's fault Barry decided to be hardheaded.

Jay already offered his insight and advice ("Don't try to fight Zoom, he will fukk you up") which was exactly right and they decided to listen to Wells instead. It's not Jay's fault that Barry was feeling himself too much and wouldn't listen to the OG. There was nothing else Jay could've done and he didn't want to encourage Barry to enter a hopeless fight.
Garrick is absolutely not a coward, he's just smarter than Barry. There's a reason he lasted two years against Zoom while Barry got crippled 10 minutes after meeting him.

Barry couldn't beat Reverse Flash by himself. What did he think he was going to do to Zoom? That was an ass whoopin. I love how they build the main villains up on this show though.
