Gaming slowly turning into a luxury hobby
People gonna be much more selective with their time/money and the games they play. Also expect more consumers to go with Used games, accessories, and things like that
If we're being honest, it's always been a luxury hobby, but the entry points were always just low enough to make it seem like it wasn't, and there was almost always a way to stretch your budget. Brehs used to have a rotation of three or four games that they would stretch out for eons off of replayability alone.
But now, the luxury end of it has just been made nakedly obvious, since the $80 game you bought for your $700 consol is chock full of attempts for the publisher to get an extra $5-$100 out of you.
