Based on your definition of a good feud, what does that make Austin/Rock? :usure:

:mjpls:

But to keep it a buck, it's an objectively memorable feud -- I will never forget when Rock tossed his ass off that bridge -- that defined an era, but it wouldn't crack top 10 on my list of top feuds based solely on what I think makes a good one.

However, there's no way anybody could make such a list and not have it on there in general. I concede that. :hubie:

A good feud has actual back and forth. Trading of wins, etc.

Don't get me wrong, that one "program" had more to do with HHH's rise to prominence than anything he ever did, but Foley never actually won a match. To me, that keeps it from being an all-timer.

:wtb:

He won in 97.

I think because it was eclipsed by HHH vs the Rock, but yes it was a great rivalry. Their Royal Rumble and HIAC matches were dope. :banderas:

it's because criple H doesn't acknowledge that foley is the one who made him.

before that feud he was an overpushed dude who had no business being in there with foley/austin/rock (summer of 99). after it, he was a made man.

but for some reason HHH downplays it.

After he left the WWF, all the storylines he created were carried on, the reason the ratings didn’t fall off immediately after he left. 2000 was his backwash

Believe Russo and Prichard have both said on their podcasts that were maybe 1-2 storylines at most that actually were carried on after Russo left. Given the timing, Triple H/Foley probably wasn't one of them.

GOATsso created “the game” character and was responsible for the mick Foley character evolution.... as noted by foley himself

It was all his creative backwash after he left for about one year, then a nice decline for 20 years after he created the dramatic spike when he took over

If HHH actually treated the feud like it matters then it would still be talked about, Rock always credits Mick & SCSA for his success and that's why those feuds are never forgotten.

Mankind/Cactus Jack was HHH's best feud. Overall Mick Foley seems underrated as an overall talent, his promo skills are legendary.

Mick Foley being able to get over 4 different personalities is legendary in itself. Some struggle to even get one gimmick over.

He always has..he acts like his Michaels feud is epic but it wasnt what made his character. Foley laying down is what got him started. Levasque was pretty unover the first 4 months of 2000..just look at his pathetic reaction at WM 2000. Got no reaction at all until him and Foley jumped the Rock.
