Six teenagers go on trial behind closed doors on Monday in connection with the beheading of French history teacher Samuel Paty in 2020, a murder that shocked the country.
The first girl is the one who told that the the teacher showed pictures of a naked Mohamed even though she wasn't in class that day, she lied and kickstarted the whole thing. And she was known for disciplinary issues in that school.
The other kids are charged because the chechen terrorist asked for directions to find Samuel Paty when he went to that school in exchange for 300€. One kid accepted and he asked for help from some of his friends to describe and point out who Paty was. They didnt know the terrorist wanted to kill the teacher, they thought he was here to make him apologize on video.
They are charged as minors for crimes that are no related to the beheading but more like aiding and abeiting or something. The max they could see is like a year or two in jail for minors.
The adults who fed into the frenzey though, they could see double digits but their case is next year.
