Mobb changed the song after Pac died out of respect. The OG version was way crazier ccording to anyone who was there. Havoc barely likes to talk about it. Saying his name or not, Drop A Gem On 'Em > any Pac song.

BIG was (understandably) confused and conflicted, as the people that they warned him about beforehand did exactly the foul shyt he was warned about, then turned around and started on BIG (which he later admitted was a ploy to sell records).

If Pac was still alive, the beef would have been squashed considering that both Prodigy and Pac were mutual friends with E-Money Bags.

I don’t think that Mobb was trying to beef with Pac either.

Pac was mad about the hook used in Survival of The Fittest which was a misunderstanding Looking back on it.

I remember Diddy calling out Pac for using them as a scapegoat instead of going at the one who ordered him to be attacked(Jimmy Henchman).

Like I said a few pages ago, Pac shouldnt have went at Biggie. Biggie was in a tough situation.
He was signed to Diddy in a slave contract so he had to follow his orders as well as Henchman who had Bad Boy under a payment plan like most East coast rappers during that time considering that Henchman had them cats under pressure.
He had a right to get at Diddy though for releasing that song.

Everyone else, I probably would have ignored.

Pac was giving cats free promo off those disses.

okay yall need to break this down for me.

the way I look at it and its just me from speculation, im sure nobody will agree because they never do. If you 100% believe they dissed Pac on "Cowboys" it wouldnt be a stretch that they dissed him on "Ready Or Not". The Haitian Jack tie is already there, so you would have to agree with all 3 facts

the chorus is self explanatory : if you are ready or not, the mob is coming you cant run to another state, we are going to kill you eventually
this is how I interpret it ... the first verse is speaking from "Pac's perspective" they are making it look distorted like a prophecy for him.
Now that I escape, sleepwalker awake
(Pac is free but sleepwalking back into fire)
Those who could relate know the world ain't cake
Jail bars ain't golden gates
(Now Pac broke and escaped jail he wasnt built for it)
Those who fake, they break
When they meet their 400 pound mate
(Jokes on Pac being raped in jail)
If I could rule the world
Everyone would have a gun in the ghetto of course
When giddy-upin' on their horse
(Shouted out Nas who was beefing with Pac at the time)
I Kick a rhyme drinkin' moonshine
I pour a sip on the concrete, for the deceased
(Double Entendre...yall clown Pac for "drinking Hennessey running from enemies"
they are saying he's drunk and a fool but the same plot will come back to kill him too
But no don't weep, Wyclef's in a state of sleep
Thinkin' 'bout the robbery that I did last week
Money in the bag, banker looked like a drag
I wanna play with pellet guns from here to Baghdad
Gun blast, think fast, I think I'm hit
My girl pinched my hips to see if I still exist
I think not, I'll send a letter to my friends
A born again hooligan only to be king again
(self explanatory, he was shot but he's walking dead...he's a madman who will be remembered as king after they actually kill him)

I play my enemies like a game of chess, where I rest
No stress
If you don't smoke sess, lest
I must confess, my destiny's manifest
In some Goretex and sweats I make treks like I'm homeless
Rap orgies with Porgy and Bess
Capture your bounty like Elliot Ness, yes
Bless you if you represent the Fu
But I'll hex you with some witch's brew if you're Doo Doo Voodoo
I can do what you do, easy, believe me
Frontin' nikkas give me hee-bee-gee-bees
So while you're imitating Al Capone
I'll be Nina Simone
And defecating on your microphone

she's an artschool kid too saying shes doper and more hiphop he's imitating a Gangster and shes an actual revolutionary...she styles on him with art school shyt and says he's too open and not deep enough to fukk with real artists.

You can't run away
From these styles I got, oh baby, hey baby
'Cause I got a lot, oh yeah
And anywhere you go
My whole crew gonna know
Oh baby, hey baby
You can't hide from the block, oh no

More Haitian Jack shyt, they are going to find and kill him ... the video is them in a submarine following one man on a jetski, everyone is out to kill this one man and they have him on sonar, he cant escape. The video changes after to actual refugee shyt in its meaning.... people will deny what I typed but its pretty clear... its a double entendre to the real meaning and they are obviously dissing someone on it. Its not just bars aimed at nobody. And who else cant hide and is gonna be found and killed?
Clefs verse describes the same hate people give pac really... a free madman who broke in prison and is drunk, wild, shot and killed only to be king when hes dead

De La had hands. They got tried on a few occasions They handed out some beatdowns for nikkas going at Tribe too, IIRC. nikkas let their image fool them. Not p*ssy at all.

Chino XL dissed him by name after he died, and Pac fans cried like they always do. nikka died at the perfect time for his stans to go super delusional. If Mobb Deep didn't change the song, nikkas like you would be crying about them dissing a dead man, no matter how much he deserved it. No win situation with you Pac stans. I REALLY wish the real version leaked, but I think Havoc completely deleted it, or has the only copy and it's never coming out. Pac stans would probably be outside his house crying like those lame Drake stans that ran up on Joe Budden:mjlol:

So, him flying off the handle for nothing? It tracks.:francis:

EDIT: Just watched Ego Trippin (Part 2), I get it but it's a reach. None of the alleged Pac lookalikes did the I Get Around dance. There were also like 4 different dudes with swim trunks and no shirt on.

Pac was mad at the wrong people…

I fukks with Pac but he should have moved more cautiously….

Dude’s issues in NY didn’t start until he hung out with Haitian Rat. He was naive to accept that ”gift” from him.
Haitian Rat threw Pac under the bus and Ayanna Jackson pinned it on Pac.

We know that Pac didn’t rape that thot.

If we had IG back then, Pac would have gotten off.

They got Pac back for shooting at those cops(thanks a lot Guiliani :scust: )

people "looked up" (if thats even the right phrasing) to 50 cent because of his tough guy shyt

the aura and dialogue around Tupac was dramatically different and had more range
50 dialed all the way in to the street side of his identity and depicted it in such a palatable way that it reached way farther then his peers records, but for the most part hes a 3 trick pony, but when he stepped outside his usual subjects on tracks like God Gave Me Style me personally I woulda rather heard that kinda variance more often from him. His limited range is why he'll never be remembered for music the way Pac is, that's not to take away from his business acumen or what hes done in television tho.

Theres a pretty big gap between Pac and Chicago drill
Nobody mentioned Chicago Drill lol

even so.. I mean lunging at someone unprovoked at a boxing match — while out on bail — is some pretty dumb ass shyt I’m sure we are a society would condemn if an 18 year old did it.

Does anyone have a link to the full Clef interview they clipped here?

The plug 2 like Trugoy line would be even iller if this was a Pac diss

Further evidence of it not being aimed at Pac is there was some significant overlap within the Outlawz/Jerzey MOB and Outsidaz (unrelated but Artifacts into that mix) The Outsidaz had street connections and I'm not saying Pace or Zee were p*ssy but none of them wanted Fatal pn there ass.

:mjlol: “My boy died and all I did was inherit his stress”

to make every jam tougher.

You ain't my man, fukk ya.

I suggest let you live. Right? Negative

I swear its doe or die.

Hope your soul provide you with an afterlife (biggies last album was life after death)

close your casket tight, take your last two deep breaths (album was a double cd)

and pass the mic (he wouldn't be taking braggadocio about an imaginary street rival if he was telling them to "pass the mic") ....
