That developer didn't even really shyt on them. Those are the exact same complaints that people had about Neogaf for years. This new website was supposed to be a "reset," but all they did was make Neogaf 2.0.

You can't get too many people like Gaf had running it together without getting a sexist or racist in the group or a few. You give someone who by society standards is a outcast money and power and their dealings with women who never were fond of them would likely go from constant rejection to honeypotting those women for abuse or harassment.

Having no game but dealing with women leads to getting played by them and builds contempt for them and suddenly with a bit of money it can attract them and bring them around you but the fundamentals of your approach to them won't be good.

12 people got banned in a Cyberpunk thread apparently over on ResetEra. I'm slowly starting to lose interest over there. I just check often for breaking game news and updates to extremely hyped games of which there is none for me atm outside of Smash Ultimate.

Apparently in that Cyberpunk thread someone actually doxxed the person that made the tweet and while others got banned by simply saying "I'll still check the game out." that poster did not get banned for doxxing, which is a bannable offense.

It is offensive but I wouldn't call someone else out for it. A human female is called a woman. Calling her simply a female is a way of dehumanizing her. It's very antagonistic to do. I can call my female dog just female and it also applies to her. I can't really call my female dog a woman because that doesn't apply.

It's in the same lane as calling women bytches really. Nobody running around calling women simply females is doing it out of positivity or love.

Like seriously, look at this shyt. This guy and a couple others are seriously going to town in tthe Cyberpunk 2077 thread because of the NPC character's language that says c*nt and p*ssy and they're equating that to some bullshyt fukking human rights issue, offensive, derogatory towards women etc. I also think it's because of something else related to this.

Don’t just fukking rest in your privilege. It may be uncomfortable to have to learn and change your perspective, but this absolutely does not have to be a negative experience. For as irrationally, arguably unfairly shyttily uncomfortable you may feel when told that a joke that you’ve never given a second thought that you happen to not be offended by because it in no way applies to you is disgusting and dehumanizing, don’t just push back on it to soothe your feelings and avoid the discomfort. Be empathetic and learn. Don’t retract and pull out the “well I’m not sure I understand why that’s bad” bullshyt simply because it’s not comfortable for you to think that way.

This is the best breakdown of what the place is though.

They are consciously exploiting their users' desire for community to "correct" their way of thinking through negative reinforcement and actual, genuine gaslighting. This is abusive and honestly fukking creepy
