juelz, jimmy and mase can't even get their own shyt "poppin" again..you think they're gonna do it for someone else..
a co sign from them in 2014 dont mean shyt
He's aight,
I don't really see what sticks out from him outta the million other rappers in NYC yet so idk about calling him the future.
This.
I'm from Uptown, so I hear a new dude rhymin' like every other day. The problem is, everyone sounds the same. No one sticks out at all. No lie, was just listenin' to cats rhyme by Minisink earlier this week. Little cypher out there, 6-7 dudes. Every single dude sounded exactly like the one before. Same flow, same cadence. It's mad boring out here now.
Truth is, ASAP worked because he was different. You might not be wack, but that doesn't mean you're dope either. You can't go anywhere without bumpin' into a rapper in Harlem. And that's cool, but a lot of these dudes are mad forgettable. Everyone's just decent. I'm still waitin' on that next level shyt. Spoke about this the other day with one of my people, and he said "the cat from here that's ridiculously nice and crazy with it, is the one we'll never hear because he doesn't put the right work in to get heard". And that's the reality of it. Sad shyt.
I think a major problem with this train of thought is. You gotta give these young boys time to grow.
But I feel ya tho a lot of Harlem nikkas is stuck in that early 2000s flow HEAVY.

I hear you. I look at it like this, are dudes really honing their craft though?
Age shouldn't really matter. I was around for the COC stuff, and when Uptown was kinda like the mecca for young MC's. Dudes were like 17-19 back then and mad nice with it. But they all had their own shyt, and they invested time in gettin' their skills up. I don't see that same love or passion for the music today. Dudes want the look, but I don't know if they really care about the actual music. That's been my thing with it lately.

I work with these new jacks so I like throwing em out on the net early. But maybe I should start withholding info.
You gotta remember a lot of these kids are from the hood they don't really got the time and resources to work and hone they craft like that. It takes years b.
I guess cuz I post about em when they so young and raw they come off amateur and typical.
I bet if I was to make threads about Drakes, Kendrick and Rockys first songs ya would call em boring and generic too.
I just like making threads about the young boys I see the most potential in.
Ya shouldn't take these vids as finished products but more as work in progresses.

Drake had an easily identifiable voice, flow, and songwriting ability.
Kendrick had an easily identifiable voice, lyrics, content, and flow.
Rocky had an easily identifiable voice, sound, style, and good visual presentation.
.
. nikka flowing like Camron and shyt
Drake yea. But dont put Kendrick Lamar in thurr boy.
When Kendrick Lamar was exactly Neeks Bucks age he was making songs like this. nikka flowing like Camron and shyt
He right, alot of these new gen rappers take a minute to find themself

I meant to say when they first released a mixtape or video. Every rapper was wack at one point![]()
The same Neef Buck that nobody can quote a verse/line/ad-lib from?
