  • I like the Game, but this whole "old school" v "new school" needs to stop. There is a massive amount of "new school" rap music that is very good. I made a long list but I'll cut off a few artists: TDE (Kendrick, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q), Pro ERA (Joey, Capital STEEZ, CJ Fly, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, Chuck Strangers, Ali, Rawle, etc), Clear Soul Forces (E-fave, Ilajide, J-Roc, LAZ), Kooley High (Rapsody, Tab One, The Sinopsis, Ill Digitz, Foolery, Charlie Smarts) Big K.R.I.T., CyHi da Prynce, Lupe Fiasco, Jay Electronica, YelaWolf, Fred the Godson, Meek Mill, Mac Miller, Logic, Hopsin Earl Sweatshirt, Tech N9ne, Action Bronson, Angel Haze, Jon Connor, Los.
  • Jesus Christ, the Game would get lyrically raped by about half these artists. I understand that he wants to "flex" as a veteran, but he's only a veteran because of when he was born, he isn't lyrically better than most of these rappers, and were he born a decade later he'd be a desperate, gimmicky rapper trying to get a contract.
  • I like him, but he needs to chill. Embrace the new school, and if you're desperate to show out, do it through pure talent, not name dropping.

Only about four of them are good. Chance is good, Jon Connor (he should have been on the cover years ago), Jarren Benton, and Vic Mensa. Everybody else is trash or worse.
