Top 5 Rapper of all time. Period

Probably top 20-50 for me. He brought the west back when he was buzzing with the mixtapes and The Documentary.

Was just re-listening to this …My initial thoughts are the same, 1-13 is incredible. Not sure why he went the ‘let ’me remix old beats ans make a 30 song album’ route. It’s actually some later songs I’m still just now digesting

And I will say, usually rappers hopping on other sounds ends terribly but Burning Checks game made the best NY drill song of all time

The fact that Game was hyping this saying when this dropped, no album would touch it, he set himself up for failure. It was a decent album, but not some classic like he was proclaiming. The only albums in his catalogue this is probably better than are Red Album and MAYBE LAX

I'd say he's top five of the 2000s, but you're spot on with the last part though.

This album was ok, could have been great had he stuck to the original plan......Hit-Boy production only, kept it short, etc. Anything he did with anyone else should have been released as a separate album later on.

Pretty much. Game has a top tier catalog where even his lesser albums aren’t actually bad. I’d say his “worst” albums (LAX, Drillmatic, RED) are still 7/10. There’s artists that are considered better than him who have 3s, 4s, and 5s out of 10 albums. Jay, Em, LL Cool J, Lil Wayne (LMAO), and T.I. (there’s people that think he’s better than Game right??) all have some straight up trash albums.
