snippet of what's about to come out
Ed Sheeran - California Love (feat. The Game & Stormzy)
Game thinks to high of himself and I'm a fan...his 2nd album was better to me then his 1st. Nothing on his 1st album is better then this song
You a fukking Goofy. The Doc is easily a top 100 rap album ever and a top 20 debut all time in any genre
The guy that will drop bars on your head. Now say something else
damn, this dude crashed this interview
I feel like Game keeps shooting himself in the foot regarding the Super Bowl situation and his explanation for why he wasn’t included is EXACTLY why he SHOULDN’T have been included.
All of this “I’m unpredictable! I’m not the “safe” artist!” Might sound gangsta or “real” to a 14 year old but anybody with any common sense whatsoever knows to stay far far away from a nikka whose an unpredictable live wire because THATS the nikka whose going to fukk up the show.
This is the SUPER BOWL not some random reunion show. There are literally HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars that go into the creation and marketing of that one 15 minute segment. If you think for one second i’m going to risk my reputation and career that I spent 30 years building because you wanna act like your in your second childhood then fukk you, your hurt feelings, and your kiddish ass perspective. That shyt might be cute around somebody like Kanye whose brand is based on chaos, but Dre is the complete opposite.
How is he shooting himself in the foot if you think thats a valid explanation? All the fear mongering extrapolation in your post goes out the window when you see dude just put on a great performance at the Donda 2 show.
Personally, Game had a point that Dre shouldve at least called him and said what was going on. They literally just collabed on his last album and Dre came out to Game's birthday and album release party. Game kept dudes name alive for 20 years by name dropping him in music and media. Dre and Game also have mad people in common in each other's circles.
At the end of the day, I dont think Dre put too much thought into this stuff cause we learned how he wasnt even planning to bring out 50 until Em threatened to drop out. Em and Kendrick are directly signed to Dre and had Aftermath projects due this year. Game jumping out the window on Dre instead of calling him is a bad look tho, but nowhere close to as bad as how these G-Unit soldiers on this site are spinning the story lol.
1). Kendrick is NOT directly signed to Dre. Kendrick isn’t an Aftermath artist and never has been. Kendrick is on Interscope, at first through TDE and now PG Lang
2). “Fear mongering” and Common Sense are not mutually exclusive. If Game himself says he’s a live wire and unpredictable, why in the fukk would someone as meticulous and reserved as Dre risk having on the SUPER BOWL HALF TIME SHOW. The BIGGEST televised event of the year. For all of his trolling, 50 Cent has NEVER put himself in any issue that effects the bag. Eminem is Eminem, he’s the great Cac hope, we all know why he was included. Kendrick is a professional. Mary J Blige is a professional. Snoop is a professional. You know they not gonna do shyt to fukk up the bag before that performance. Game by his own admission ain’t promising to even be a PROFESSIONAL. Which means he’s not worth the potential headache. PERIOD. And the fact you used the Donda 2 performance just highlights my point that Kanye, who is just as much a headache and troll, would take the chance, but Dre hasn’t been in that type of space for going on TWENTY YEARS now.
3). Dre don’t owe Game no phone calls lol. The lineup is the lineup. It was Dre’s show and we’re keeping it funky, Game is a minor part of Dr Dre’s story when it comes to the list of artists and acts that theoretically COULD have been part of the performance. Game has made more noise as an artist WITHOUT Dr Dre’s involvement than with it. And we as fans tend to get a little too caught up in these artists relationships like they really close when in reality its more business than friendship. Dre never really acknowledged Game as more than a supremely talented artist that he made music with. We should have all seen the writing on the wall when Dre cut off Game after the G-Unit beef. Fifty straight up said “If Dre produces on Game’s album then we got beef” and Dre stepped to the side. Thats not somebody you realistically expect to hit you 15 years later to consult you on HIS headlining Super Bowl performance lol.
