The game is rigged. 100k is still not enough, and that is crazy.

Health insurance...:comeon:

Breh with all sincerity. No. Just no. Everyone is well aware health insurance / health-care is a joke in this country. Just another clusterfukk of a situation that is broken as well in this country.

With insurance I've received $3000 hospital bills just for a few tests to be done. God bless if you have anything relatively serious needing to be done.

Where i live you can get away w 120k as upper middle class.
Where my younger bro lives people w 180k have roommates. And even if they dont they arent upper class.

Also "According to respondents of a 2019 Modern Wealth Survey from Charles Schwab, once you have $2.3 million in personal net worth, you can call yourself wealthy"

The vast majority of 100 to 200k earners dont have pass 100k in net worth and many have a negative net worth.

Low level thinkers (like you) think a yearly salary factors into class. In some class models it might but in most it doesnt
In mid-Michigan $120K would have you living lovely. You can get a solid 2600sqft home 4br 3ba for just under $300K. $1600 mortgage payment a month. Meanwhile you bringing home about $7100 a month after taxes. If you can't live on $5500 a month after mortgage payments you doing too much.

I wouldn't wanna live somewhere where I can pull in $180K and need roommates.

Health insurance...:comeon:
Notice I said MAJOR hospitalization. :comeon:

Health insurance helps for most things and if the doctor is in your network. I don't give a fukk who you are, if your relative gets cancer and you want to see a top specialist that's outside your network... you might be talking $60k you gotta fork over. (same shyt had Walter White whippin up meth).

Bruh I am so confused by some of these nikkas comments.

Like seriously... They need to cut off YouTube, stop following these ig hoes that think you're supposed to take 'em to Ruth Chris every weekend.

You ain't a rapper or athlete so the Wraith is probably out of the question. You still want have a luxury vehicle with your 100k? Get a Caddy CT6. You want to eat exquisite foods? Shop at Whole Foods.

nikkas just don't know how to live.

I'm not sure why you lumped this in with his response regarding health insurance. :dahell: Aint no amount of Ruth Chris gonna equate to major health issues that aren't covered by insurance.

If you make 10k per month especially after taxes and can only save 2k you are living way beyond your means :unimpressed:

No way I wouldn’t be able to save half that, with enough to still be able to invest AND live a comfortable life :unimpressed:

There’s nowhere in this country or prolly the world for that matter where someone who makes 180k per year needs a roommate :unimpressed:

I understand your point. I'm not directing anything at you fam. My problem is with nikkas basically having all that money and still managing to live outside of their means.

20 pages?

Is there any wisdom in this thread, or nah?
Seemed like mostly people grumbling about their high cost of living. Finances really don't involve wisdom. It's as simple as figuring out what you're comfortable with in terms of lifestyle and not going much further past that even as your income grows. You save and invest the rest.

My investments are extremely small and I make over a 100k a year for the last 6 years and I'm absolutely fine.

I have more than enough money saved and I'm comfortable.
That money you have saved is losing value everyday its just sitting in your account.

You'll be tired one day and probably want to retire while having the same level of comfort you have now
