Agreed. It's Game's rapping and the production/beats/songwriting that make this album. There's very little there in terms of lyrics and that's always been Game's weakness. He's a great MC, his rhymes is crazy (word play/punches) but he just doesn't have any depth in his lyrics. Maybe cus he doesn't have much to say about himself. That's why when he's given a subject to rap about (Sean Bell, dissing G-Unit, etc. ) the lyrics are dope.

If Game had Nas's lyricism, he'd be top 25 rappers of all time. Without it, he's still top 50, but not top of the top.
Basically that. I've given Ross the same criticism

But even Ross seems to have branched out just a little bit more with the rhymes in his recent work than before.

Yep. Rick Ross created a fake persona and lifestyle for himself (the Boss/Don) and that became his subject matter. He faked it til he made it. It made for interesting subject matter, though it got stale for me now.

I don't think Game wants to do that because his thing that he IS a gangsta and a blood, whether it is/was true or not. Game's best bet for deeper subject matter would be to make a concept album, like Good Kid Maad City.

Got enough guest features. :scust: Whatever happened to being able to handle the full weight of an album for dolo? :martin:
If you listened to the album you'd see a lot of features were minimally involved...like when Jaime Foxx got a featured credit for saying "hallelujah" on "Hallelujah" on his last album...

now shut you fakkit as up and enjoy the record

Game is his usual onpoint self.

That production tho :whoo:. Every track is straight up fire.

Only skippables are: Dedicated and bytch You Ain't shyt.
