Well it makes sense.. box office would be what movies? People haven’t been going to the movies like that since the pandemic.

Music can be streamed so a lot of money is gone on that.

It takes years to make a AAA game

Even successful indie games take forever to make

The jobs themselves usually have long hours especially when they are less than 6 months from release

Most people dont wanna work for gaming companies, they are notorious for treating their software developers like shyt

If you didn't know that much you probably don't even have the skills or knowledge to get in, fukk that shyt, go do developer work for a bank or something
You can still be a game developer.. it’s the top tier Triple A games with crunch time where you will be overworked for months on end.

I don’t think rockstar has to worry about that though. They release their games when they want on their accord. And will even push it back several times.

Being a game developer you don’t have to be doing the coding, could be an artist, voice actor, etc etc

Man, them anime based mobile games done hit a lick with the "gacha" mechanics. Think loot boxes but you just get an anime girl instead. (Genshin Impact, Girls Frontline and Azur Lane are the prime examples of this)
