If Ross is the bigger pop star, he's the bigger artist. Will Smith was way bigger than DMX's. Will Smith sold more records and made blockbuster movies. DMX was more "accepted" by so called "real hip hop fans".
in 1999, DMX album sold 6 million (with no top 20 single) and Will Smith album (with a #1 single) sold less than 2 million if I recall right. And even this analogy is wrong cause Jeezy has both bigger singles and albums. But again I've not claimed that Jeezy is bigger in any post. Just that they're about even, leaning towards Ross. Being a bigger commercial commodity doesn't necessarily mean that you're a bigger artist. Compare Nicki Minaj and various Country artists.

And what does movies have to do with anything? If LL Cool J comes out now is he a big artist cause he's in a successful TV-show? Or is Ludacris actually on Waynes level cause he's in movies grossing far over half a billion dollars :whew:.

The only gap towards Jeezy is in your own mind because in LA that isn't the case. You are really here right? What clubs are playing Jeezy more than Ross? You are out in the Valley, I work Downtown.

And if you listen to the radio like you say then you surely heard all the people being interviewed about Cali Christmas and how excited they are to see Rick Ross. Jeezy isnt even on the line up, why do you think that might be?

i mean i'm not listening to radio or out all THAT much...i'm older. i did get dragged to Drais by a broad a week back but was too faded to recall what was playing. i just notice that when i do hear the radio twice a week i've heard she said a shocking amount of times and haven't noticed any Ross songs.

i also think Ross has the machine behind him a bit more at the moment.

Jeezy's highest point>>>>>>Ross' highest point

Jeezy's best tape>Ross' best tape

Jeezy's best album>Ross' best album

This is supposed to be Ross' year, GFID was supposed to be his crowning glory and 2012 will still be remembered for GKMC and LIG

Ross had the worst run of all artists on top and that is because his hype is simply bigger than his buzz. Internet will tell you Ross is number 1 and he is going to do numbers then his shyt comes out and he is doing marginally better than people like Wale and 2chainz.

Those same internet nikkas told you Jeezy was done and he had no buzz but he still outsold Ross. Jeezy outselling Ross when he had no buzz and Ross was top dog tells its own story

^^^^yep

but i'm simply talking about better music. which Jeezy makes. Even now. 103 kills GFID.

Im sorry bruh but u out yo mind if u think 103 is better than DTR, TD, or GFID. I mean 103 is easily Jeezys worst album.

:pachaha: @ u jamming that Neyo song in ur ride

i don't even know the names of current Ross songs. you're including French's joint right?

simple point is that Jeezy has a low key smash rap hit off his layest album and Ross doesn't. add to that that Jeezy was supposed to have fallen off and Ross was supposed to dominate and it furthers how abhorrent the gap is.

Most people don't know the names of songs. And if u download online they often name songs wrongly as well. Including those beloved ripping groups.

Probably a lot of the same shyt they play on the radio which is a heavy rotation of the same 10 songs, one being Jeezy's and 3 being ones Rick Ross is featured on. Rick Ross' single with Usher which I thought was HORRIBLE even got spins for a while.

Ross does have a push behind him and his relationships have paid off for him. Not denying that. Jeezy is benefiting from Neyo just the same as they always play his records out here.

Ross hasnt reached his peak yet though. Him and Jeezy are meeting kinda in the middle right now with Ross going up and Jeezy coming down.

And how is dropping a Compilation, a solo album, meeks album, and headlining a tour right now as we speak not having a big year?? Nobody has a resume like that this year. Yall just like to conviently throw Ross' accomplishments in the bushes to fit whatever trivial argument yall trying to make.

Think about it, compare MMG of 2009 to MMG of 2012.....that boy dun put in alot of work and its definitely paying off. U dont have to like the nikka but to downplay the success this man has had in these three is just hoeish behavior. Willful ignorance is the term im looking for

You really don't understand how singles work do you? Not everything is apples to apples.

"Pop That" is French Montana's single and he is not a popular artist yet, French Montana is signed to MMG and Rick Ross has a good relationship with Lil Wayne. He also has the best verse on the song.

Just because someone barely goes gold like lets say those LMFAO doesn't mean getting them on singles doesn't move more. Flo Rida has never gone platinum but he sells millions of singles.
:ohhh: French Montana is signed to Bad Boy though, he's just affiliated with MMG.

You said Ross was the bigger pop star, if you're a bigger pop star, you're a bigger star period. LL is a bigger star than all these rappers doesn't matter what sells. Same with Will Smith. Ludacris ain't headlining no movies and nobody cares about his music.
