Krs has more classics than all of them combined..especially if we start adding fringe work or actually hold nikkaz accountable for real culturally.
As a lot of albums people call classics in their discogs.
especially Kanye and puff are questionable.
As puff and ye never made a classic.
Plus before Eminem revived dre culturally.
Dre had two classics.
Which one is based on sheer prison industrial method marketing to get over the hump.
So this is not true at all,....krs has the most classics, collectively than this group and individually over this group.

If I say a Kanye album is a classic then Doug infinite had a classic, breh.
When dug infinite never made a classic.
If Kanye has a classic then guys need to honor danja mowf's classic which predates ye by five years.
If ye has classics all of slug's records that created the genre ye got to bastsrdize as the emo puff.
all of atmosphere'a albums are classic.
Alot of the rhetoric of what a classic is was bent for this group erroneously and it was more prison industrial complex marketing.
It was never a classic album that was made.
As it violates culturally what the actual culture of hiphop was about.
Especially if we bring the elephant in the room.
that was the prison industrial complex using rap as a marketing ploy for its bullshyt from 93-2oo5 as a legit thing.

Kanye is a producer B.

He gets the same pass as Puff Daddy and Dr. Dre. We look to them to "put together" (produce) records not actually "compose" (neither write songs or play music) them.

There are producers in every genre, but only in hip-hop do they have solo albums as the lead artist.

The artistic part of music is very draining that is why so few artists have classics without a producer like, Ye, Dre or Diddy behind them. Someone to vision the bigger picture and make it come to life.

All 3 have the most classics in hip-hop under their belts collectively and individually.

yeah but to casual hip hop fans they love kanye and think he wrote his hits

theres truly nikkas out here who got ye in they top 5 rapper list

Krit is just cut and paste of Andre 3ooo and is just a biter tho.
DJ quik was never great at all as an actual rapper.
Nor was I ever into his actual work of any kind at all.
As he and his crew perpetrated why we are here today discussing it and I just don't understand how culturally people don't hold these artist accountable for their bullshyt.
Is it because the fan wanna pull the same coup.
or just don't know the culture, themselves.

Kanye is no Dre. His voice and delivery are the worst part of his rapping ability. Kanye's championed his pen game as well and has even done a joint album with Jay. He wasn't just behind the boards, he was rapping with Jay on every song and the name of the group was Watch The Throne.

Exactly... almost guilty of what Drake is doing but his producer history, successful sneaker, kim k and this fashion attempt leads us astray from it

Hip Hop fans care about it.

Casual music fans do not.

Drake's fan base is mainly casual music fans. It really doesn't mean that much seeing as pop artists have had people write for them for years.

Wayne took a hit because while he does have some non-Hip Hop head fans, his core fan base is still mainly people into Hip Hop. Casual music fans who like 'Got Money' by Lil Wayne don't care if he wrote it or Gudda Gudda did.
I get your point, and a lil off subject, but yall nikkas do know Gutta Gutta and Pnut (Kid Kid) can spit right? Check SQ4...I feel old because mostly only young dudes dont know about them sq tapes. Wayne was straight up inspiring them dudes!

Especially Kid Kid..that nikka was the 2nd best lyricist in Gunit behind Banks, and he kinda close to Banks with the bars just on some southern style shyt. nikkas just hate to hate :yeshrug:

dem nikkaz sucked on the sqad tapes, breh.
they were unskilled amateurs and weezy was draining them of any good ink they did come up with.

i know so, i reviewed the shyt and there was really only two records worth a damn out of the whole sqad run:

i make'em say oh
imma gangsta

the rest of that shyt was some wack amateur garbage, and it was reviewed as such back then.
stop trying to rewrite history.
most of the sqad shyt was a waste of listening outside of those two songs.
