Thread concept is simple, someone name artists that they’ve been meaning to listen to but haven’t yet and then whoever is a fan of that artist they can recommend the best tracks to start with. Then they name an artist(s) they been meaning to listen to and the chain continues…:ehh:

I’ll start: Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne, and Kodak Black.

Good thread, breh

For Wayne I'd say check out the first 3 dedication mixtapes, back then those Wayne mixtapes were instant classics imo .. that's if you don't already know them ..

For me it's prob MF DOOM .. I own mmm food but other than that, somebody needs to pop my cherry no homo :lolbron:

Barely listened to them but a lot of people recommended that as a starting point. Other people said Carter 2. It’s best to just get recommendations from different people to get a better picture.

Ngl, I’m lowkey thinking of adding J. Cole, Common, and Kendrick to my listening list as well. :ehh:

The 90s was platora of SUPER RAPPERS and if you didn't bring top tier rhymes you'd get lost in the mix, but i truly believe Tracey Lee was overlooked and just seen as the guy who BIG did a song with. But lowkey this dude dropped a great album and this one of the best storytelling joints on there

Common is one of the all time greatest MC's IMO, check out all his earlier albums, plenty of gems in his discography, maybe start with like water for chocolate, then the 2 before it, also BE .. and j cole earlier shyt too :salute:
