GP is one of the best PG's ever.

GP deserves this. For anyone saying he doesnt obviously were to young to remember Payton in his prime or either they are straight up hating. Knock a player all you want but you cant deny some players when you say they had a Hall of Fame career. GP did it on both ends of the court and did it for a long period of time. He was still an all star caliber player in his mid 30s and he never really fell off. He just got old and went to teams like LA and MIA looking for a ring. But he was still a valuable piece and played a huge role in the Heat getting a ring in 2006.

As a youngster growing rooting for Hakeem's Houston Rockets, I always respected Gary Payton. That dude would talk major shyt and back it up on defense and offense. Much respect and well deserved.

Houston fans know that Seattle was our toughest team to play against. It made me appreciate Payton's ability. Dude is still underrated by many IMO.
