The two of them are pretty competitive, but overall Publix is cleaner, better deli, better bakery, better prepared meals and seafood

But I shop at Kroger more, better deals, faster checkout, comparable quality foods to Publix

Sprouts is the new GOAT for organic food

Lidl for off price groceries

Whole Foods in Buckhead or Kennesaw if you tryna spend a check

Dekalb has Clayton beat in all of those categories. Definitely diversity and schools (depending where you are) That being said there are drawbacks to both areas. I’ve always lived on the Eastside since I’ve moved to Georgia. Dekalb especially around Lithonia and Stone Mountain have a long way to go.
