DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police and Georgia State Patrol currently have a large portion of Chamblee Tucker Road blocked.
Hundreds of people gathered in the area on Saturday afternoon in protest of President Donald Trump and his policies.

Four Kroger stores in metro Atlanta are among those that will close in the coming months as the grocery chain shutters 60 stores nationwide.

The company confirmed Monday that the following stores would close on the following dates:

• 11877 Douglas Road in Alpharetta: August 16, 2025 (I walked there to find a job once, boring neighborhood Kroger, North Fulton got a Kroger on every other block, they could lose a few, area gets a lot of traffic, it will be replaced quick)
• 2452 Morosgo Way in Atlanta: July 19, 2025 (Piedmont/Lindbergh)
• 3855 Buford Highway in Brookhaven: October 18, 2025 (damn, nightmare to get to)
• 3479 Memorial Drive in Decatur: September 13, 2025 (City centre Kroger in the 80s and 90s, end of an era)

The Kroger on 3479 Memorial was horrible, but I liked the barber shop in the store.

Surprised with all the Hispanics on Buford Hwy that that particular Kroger is closing.

The things those people will want to buy generally won't be found in Kroger. Go walk around in the Plaza across the way and see why.

Wow that Kroger on Memorial was a staple. All of the big box chain grocery stores are gone in that area of Memorial Drive all the way from 78 until past Moreland. They really should have closed the one on Redan tho
