If this is what Russian propaganda looks like then give me more. Because it look like REAL journalism. Something I know many of us aren't use to.

Serious question: CNN doesn't even attempt t show you real citizens talking in Aleppo. Or for that matter ANYWHERE in the middle east. . . Using your own common sense. How can you take THEIR word over those of these people???

This is the most propagandized war of all time. That being said this idea that Assad is going to just massacre everybody in Aleppo now is nonsense. And I'm a huge Assad hater.
It's not even about Assad at this point. I'm talking just cheer common sense. If Russia is all about fake propaganda, then how come theirs looks so damn authentic and ours looks like the REAL fake news? Our outlets literally DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO PROPAGANDIZE US WITH ''REAL'' CITIZENS SPEAKING ON THE SITUATION IN ALEPPO.

All we get is anonymous quotes from ''citizens'' claiming genocide. It literally makes no sense to believe our media with such nonsense when compared to the ''propaganda'' being put out by Russia.

U.N. Peace Activists on Syria Dec 9th 2016.

You can't quote the U.N. when it suits you and then disregard it when it doesn't. The same U.N. concludes that Assad is a genocidal maniac.

That being said I don't believe the propaganda that now Assad is going to do some kind of ethnic cleansing or mass killings in Aleppo, that's just not gonna happen especially with the Russians there. Their reputation is on the line.

So just because the Russians are better at propaganda it's more real? How could American outlets get journos in Syria lol... You gotta think deeper than that.

:mjlol: Kettle meet black.

How? I accept both as possible scenarios, you disregard stuff that doesn't fit your world view. This lady just said she met with Assad personally for 2 hours. She called Assad Syria's elected president. That's nonsense. That being said I agree that it isn't right to accuse Assad of something he hasn't even done yet or acting like hes going to kill people after he's won the city.

1. Accepting both scenarios and doing the research of what is really going on is 2 different things.

2. U.N. Peace activists aren't the same as U.N. Security Council. One searches for the information to break down the truth, the other brings propaganda as truth and tries to use their agenda to push things forward.

3. You weren't paying attention to "This Lady" . She clearly states she been all over the country for months and spent time doing journalist like things. She didn't just meet the president and boom she just had to come back and talk about all the great things. Here shows you don't believe in both scenarios because you are extremely dismissive towards something that doesn't fit in your brain.

I disagree with the assertion that most people in Syria are supportive of Assad. That's a long winded discussion that I'm not going to get in to. She said a nonsensical statement that Assad was justly elected that is obviously not the case. I respect her and her opinion and maybe more people support Assad than previously thought, that is a possibility. You're the dismissive one here you have never once opened your mind to the possibility that people were against Assad organically.

1. Facts have always told another story. Majority of Syria supports Assad....how do you think he has stayed as long as he has..:usure:

2. He was elected...do you have evidence that he wasn't?

3. Show me where I'm dismissive. With all the research I posted in this thread proves otherwise.

It's the first major war in the social media era. It's impossible to discern facts on the ground now despite the intense coverage because there are so many conflated interests.

Assad was elected? He got 88 percent of the vote. Is that a free and fair election to you? If it is, we don't need to continue talking. How else do dictators stay in power??? You think people support dictators?

1. 2 Opposition leaders supported Assad's attempt at the Terrorists, however...none of the 2 leaders had any real experience nor charisma to get the votes of the people. Is it fair based off what? That you are at war and you have a president doing everything to keep the country from falling apart and people have backed him since 2000. Is it any fair that we have Congressmen who have 30 to 40 year terms?

2. Dictator is subjective when it comes to things that people don't understand, especially knowing how complex the middle east has been.

3. You still haven't shown me how I'm being dismissive.

That's completely apples and oranges comparing democratically elected congressmen who never get more than 55-60% in their districts with hundreds of thousands of votes cast, to a man getting 88.8% with 10 million votes cast, and no independent monitors. That's not fair at all. And there was no real opposition party. This is not even a rational discussion to have if you think that election was anything other than theater. Dictator is NOT subjective.

You're being dismissive when thinking about whether people honestly were against Assad and whether or not it was all just the CIA.

1. You make excuses knowing it's the same thing. The same people get elected constantly here while it's not fair in Syria....:usure:
2. Does it matter on percentage...they continue to win on the same platform everytime. Stop with the excuses...

3. Independent monitors.....:dahell: What country has independent monitors that check the election process who haven't been vetted in their own government? Son you smarter than this. You are trying way too hard to be stupid for no reason.

4. I made my point earlier with my post with FACTS( look at the other thread on Syria from DEC 5TH), not bullshyt scenarios of what could be. Take the L like anyone else would ignoring it. Unless you can bring facts, I suggest you read the post I made pages ago...MR. Scenario.
