1. You make excuses knowing it's the same thing. The same people get elected constantly here while it's not fair in Syria....:usure:
2. Does it matter on percentage...they continue to win on the same platform everytime. Stop with the excuses...

3. Independent monitors.....:dahell: What country has independent monitors that check the election process who haven't been vetted in their own government? Son you smarter than this. You are trying way too hard to be stupid for no reason.

4. I made my point earlier with my post with FACTS( look at the other thread on Syria from DEC 5TH), not bullshyt scenarios of what could be. Take the L like anyone else would ignoring it. Unless you can bring facts, I suggest you read the post I made pages ago...MR. Scenario.

The percentage is the most important part of my argument :mindblown:

Obviously Syria would need international monitors for people to ratify their elections, Assad was handed power from his genocidal father. So what if people win on the same platform, they don't win with 88% with 10 million votes cast. Either Assad is the most popular leader of all time as a percentage of population or it doesn't make any sense. You can make your assertions if you want but the fact is that you're defending him on a point that is indefensible.

Why bother explaining that to this dilettante ? 12 % isn't enough "real opposition" ....so we have to institute regime change by arming/funding rebels

True I blew the kats out the water in the last thread about this and they act like they did research and yet provide nothing.

You can't quote the U.N. when it suits you and then disregard it when it doesn't. The same U.N. concludes that Assad is a genocidal maniac.

That being said I don't believe the propaganda that now Assad is going to do some kind of ethnic cleansing or mass killings in Aleppo, that's just not gonna happen especially with the Russians there. Their reputation is on the line.
The UN is a body of pretty much every country in the world except 3 I think. There are factions within the UN that will often refer to themselves as 'The UN' even though their statement had not been released by one of the official councils.

If this is what Russian propaganda looks like then give me more. Because it look like REAL journalism. Something I know many of us aren't use to.

Serious question: CNN doesn't even attempt t show you real citizens talking in Aleppo. Or for that matter ANYWHERE in the middle east. . . Using your own common sense. How can you take THEIR word over those of these people???

:wow:...

Yeah if the Russians are engaging in propaganda they're way better at it than the west that's for sure.

The west doesn't even try to look convincing.

@Broke Wave is right. This is the most propaganda of a war I've ever seen because it's happening on social media.

The mainstream media relies on "activists" and citizen journalists in Eastern Aleppo, Idlib and in Southern Turkey. Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is basically one man in the UK reporting with his contacts. The White Helmets was formed by a British mercenary and they've been funded with close to $100M from UK, US, EU... and they've lost credibility with staged videos and inflated numbers of things

The tweets about "last day on Earth" right as the SAA was moving in to the final rebel stronghold was an elaborate social media campaign. It helped the rebels negotiate a better evacuation strategy. But no one talks about the lack of pressure these activists are under from the militias and you never see armed men in their videos.

Also the claims if genocide are ridiculous. There were claims of women committing suixide so they don't get raped. Claims if a Imam on twitter saying people are asking him if it's permissible to kill their wives and children so the army can't kill and rape them. :wtf:

These were all unsubstantiated.

No one should deny the sins of the Assad regime that goes back 50 years. But Russia and Iran to a certain extent have thus guy on a leash.

We also don't hear the voices of those Syrians who do support him. Ambassador Ford estimated that half of Syrians still support him. The Christians are strong backers, the Sunni business class support him which is why he has kept Damascus and West Aleppo all this time.
