"The investigation resulted in the discovery of undisclosed agreements between the club and Broncos players during the same period [1996-1998] pursuant to which various players agreed to defer certain compensation in exchange for a commitment to pay interest on the deferred amounts," Harold Henderson [former NFL's Executive Vice President of Labor Relations] said in the statement. "These agreements were plainly designed to help the club cope with seasonal cash flow problems exacerbated by the Broncos need to fund front-end expenditures associated with development of the new stadium in Denver."

I did numb nuts...the investigation found out the salary cap circumvention was not used to keep Elway, or Terrell, or any other players we couldn't afford. It was used to help fund the new stadium we were building.

Broncos Penalized Again for Salary Cap Violations (washingtonpost.com)

Reading is fundamental, trust me, as a nation we need literate people....help yourself and others by being such.
Doesn't matter what it was used for. It helped them keep players they otherwise would not have been able to afford those years. You know that, but the hypocrite in you won't ever admit it, just keep crying about other team's asterisks all day.

Actually it does matter because it addresses the direct accusation that the Broncos cirucmvented salary cap space to keep players they couldn't afford.

They could afford the players they couldn't afford a new stadium.

The league would've said the Broncos actually circumvented salary cap space to gain a competitive advantage in the league to win the championships. No where did they say the Broncos did this.

:heh: keep up

No they couldn't - that's why they reduced Elway's cap hit you Neanderthal. They blatantly cheated and the funny part is they'd be a ringless franchise without cooking the books :heh:

Except your dumb ass keeps ignoring the fact the League executive stated "These agreements were plainly designed to help the club cope with seasonal cash flow problems exacerbated by the Broncos' need to fund front-end expenditures associated with development of the new stadium in Denver."

Nowhere does he say they did this to keep Elway, Terrell, or any other players they couldn't afford

:bryan:"B-b-b-but they did to keep Elway!!!"

Your team has a reputation of cheating by not only fans by league owners and league executives....now scram chump :camby:

You still won't answer this simple question - could they have kept Elway without cooking the books? Yes or no?

The answer is NO.

That's why they were forced to pay $2 million in fines.

You'll come back with some lame excuse like you always do. "Yeah they manipulated the cap and kept players they couldn't afford but that's fine because they needed a stadium". You sound so fukkin dumb and in denial. I'm not a Pats fan. I just have a thing for people who throw stones in glass houses. :mjlol:

If the only rings my team had were because the organization illegally moved money around to keep certain players, I would probably feel insecure about it too. Not sure if I'd be as pathetic as @JUSE_HEDD and log in to the Coli everyday searching for Pats threads so I can point fingers, but hey.. People deal with their insecurities in different ways :manny:

You are dense! No wonder you are in the red.

I answered your question. Keeping Elway was not a problem. The investigation into the accounting for salary cap space did not find the Broncos tried to find ways to sign players they couldn't afford (i.e. Elway). It was related to building a new stadium.

You're not winning this argument go away.

Nothing to win. They were already fined. Even worse than the Pats :mjlol:

The only way to keep Elway was to change his cap hit. Call people dense and don't understand this simple concept brehs.

@Carlos Huerta

Look at this disgracefulness :mjlol: this team is tainted top to bottom

Spygate to Deflategate: Inside what split the NFL and Patriots apart

Wait, same ESPN that reported 11 out of 12 balls were deflated by 2 lbs and then refused to retract even when the actual evidence came out and proved that they got a shytty source?:mjlol:

Is this the same ESPN that got slammed by other news organizations for their blatant biased in the whole deflategate coverage?:pachaha:

So to recap, Brady never got suspended or fined:banderas:
Broncos got fined twice, got draft picks taken twice, but Brady is the one who is the notorious cheater:heh:

That mile high logic:skip:

It's amazing how many welfare cheats still think Deflategate is a real thing. Like, did your public schools not teach you the fundamentals of the ideal gas law? This is stuff people of even average intelligence learn in...7th grade :dwillhuh:
