Knicks ortg was top 5 when Melo was on the floor and bottom 5 when he was on the bench this season. He had a top 10 respect rating which judges how tightly a player's defender stays on him when he's off the ball (aka spaces the floor for his teammates). He did this spending all but one game on an injured knee that required surgery.

He's pretty much a black hole out there. Brings nothing positive offensively or defensively overall when it comes down to it . Calling him a member of a big three is a complete joke. Steven Adams is about 10 times more important to this team than he is.

call me crazy but I believe you can win with melo as your first scoring option between 2009-2013 if you surround him with the right coach and teammates.
