They could've done a live action trailer like old times, delayed the game, got their shyt together, and they'd be completely free of all this scrutiny on their product and on the showcase as a whole but what do i know

No reason the game couldn’t have been at a minimum on par graphically with Halo 5. then all that extra hardware horsepower and cloud computing could have been dedicated to making the world as large as possible while maintaining the visual fidelity of halo 5.
Halo infinite is barely a leap above Doom 3. The difference is people are being wowed by the clarity of 4k/60fps.
