Even before Jeff's injury, dudes were ice cold. It reminds me of Big Bossman and Mr. Perfect in 2002. The crowd still favored them, but they were clearly not a focus and were treated as such. And it was the Hardyz they were washed by in a tag match on Raw at that time

Once they couldn't use the Broken gimmick, it was a wrap. And that includes Jeff, who everyone assumed would be getting a mega push but I never saw that happening. Fact is, outside of the Broken Universe, no one was checking for either Hardy in 2017.
As is, they'll ride out their contracts, enjoy a nice Hall of Fame induction in a few years, then either retire from the business or settle into a backstage role. I could definitely see Matt down in Full Sail in a few years.

They're businessmen not marks. I'm sure they have a job for life as a writer, agent or trainer. They're set financially forever with WWE. I'm sure that is more important to them than feuding with the Young Bucks.
