They didn't have to sign. But they made that choice so they have to deal with the consequences. You'll get paid more (and on time) but any momentum that you accumulated outside of the company will be squashed.

But they probably already got paid from previous work in the E and I’m sure they wasn’t struggling in TNA.

I think when you reach the level they were at, for 2 country Boys that still live in the middle of nowhere NC the money doesn’t become that big of a deal.

It’s not like a Lio Rush going from the Indies making $800 a show to possibly a future opportunity at Mania making significantly more.

They probably spending way much money than they did before and are losing a significant amount of time with their wives and kids...... to barely even get on tv and just sit in the locker room. City to city

I think they’re the type to want the creative outlet as much as they want the cash, but I can’t speak for them. I think even taking the Broken universe out of the conversation, much more could’ve been done with the Hardyz besides wrestling the BAR a million times before falling into irrelevance.

If anything this is cautionary tale of making sure that you own the work that you create or at the very least make sure that you are aware of ownership, breakdown, etc. We talk a lot about this in the music business but wrestlers have been jerked just as bad in some cases.
