The National Education Association, a three million-member teachers' union, has overwhelmingly voted to cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League. The NEA said that it “will not use, endorse, or publicize materials from the ADL, such as its curricular materials or statistics,” because “Despite its reputation as a civil rights organization, the ADL is not the social justice educational partner it claims to be.”
The ADL is a pervasive force in American education, pushing curriculum, direct programming, and teacher training into K-12 schools and universities, even over the objections of parents, teachers, and students.
