Key Points:
  1. Post-Hospitalization Concerns:
    • After Fetterman’s release from Walter Reed Medical Center in March 2023, his then-chief of staff, Adam Jentleson, observed alarming changes in his behavior.
    • In May 2024, Jentleson sent a detailed letter to Fetterman’s doctor, expressing worries about signs of depression relapse, including erratic behavior, neglect of medical advice, and isolation.
  2. Behavioral Red Flags:
    • Fetterman reportedly engaged in reckless driving, missed medical appointments, and possibly discontinued his medication regimen.
    • He exhibited mood swings, delusional thinking, and aggressive behavior, raising concerns about his mental stability.
  3. Staff Turnover and Isolation:
    • Several top aides, including Jentleson, resigned due to the challenging work environment and Fetterman’s behavior.
    • His inner circle diminished, leading to increased isolation and a lack of support systems to help manage his health.
    • Deleted himself from Democratic caucus group chat.
  4. Public vs. Private Persona:
    • Despite internal concerns, Fetterman maintained a strong public image, with rising approval ratings and active participation in legislative duties.
    • However, discrepancies between his public demeanor and private struggles have led to questions about his capacity to serve effectively.
  5. Political Shifts and Controversies:
    • Fetterman’s political positions, including his support for Israel during the Gaza conflict, have alienated some former allies and even his wife, Gisele.
    • His conduct on social media and interactions with colleagues have been described as contentious and disconcerting.

Someone can post the full article if they want but after Biden I think Democrats can’t afford to not get ahead of something like this again.

I’m more concerned about dude suffering another medical set back and a Republican filling that seat at the wrong time.

Thankfully there is no difference between him and a republican anyway, right @Outlaw
Listen I know people in here like to troll and all but nothing about that article was funny. Dude seems deeply unwell. And it’s got to be bad if his own staff is providing sources like this. That moment where he’s in the office with Sherrod Brown and is unintelligible seems sad. A dude who had a stroke and a history of depression - off his meds, isolating himself and eating McDonalds multiple times a day after his poor health led to the stroke - is not a laughing matter. Dude shouldn’t be in Congress. Not all that differently than when Ol girl in California needed to bow out.

Agreed. With that said my response was about him being replaced by a republican, which many people in here have said would be no noticeable difference, not the article.

I think this part was funny.

But yeah in all seriousness dude should off himself. I have sympathy for Giselle and his family but he's been a force for evil at least since the stroke. He's become one of the most vile members of congress. It would be one thing if he was just a random citizen crashing out like this, but he's a fukkin Senator. He's of no use to anyone anymore.
