The high PNR has killed the NBA game IMO

I can't watch this shyt. Every team plays the same...no sets, limited movement and cutting, no post activity...just 4 players spaced with a high PNR with the offense initiated off that action. If a team has a viable big then you might see a post touch here and there, but it's mostly teams chucking 3's at a ridiculously high rate in transition and running the PNR off the secondary break and as their base half court offense.

Zeke made a comment a few days ago about how the league is so dramatically different in that everything is simplified now. Teams don't run plays, coaches aren't spending practice time running through several different sets now...it's a simplified game almost down to the bare bones. I read y'all niccas posting with so much passion about teams and players in this current NBA landscape and I can't match that excitement...the game has just become so dry and cookie cutter to me now. I understand the PNR is the hardest play in basketball to defend but I'll be damned if it hasn't turned the NBA product to shyt.

I'm not trying to compare one era with another because I saw some horrendous ball played in the 90's and early 2000's. I know how ugly the game has been at times...all I'm saying is currently the league is stale and the lack of different identities and different play styles is a result of every damn team running high PNR a thousand times a game and chucking 3's. Shyt is wack to me now. I've been gravitating back to the college game (UNC-UK was the best game I've seen in years, college or pro) just to see some actual sets being run and not having to watch a big flash out to the perimeter to set a pick every cotdamn time down the floor.

We're not even 5 years removed from this -

Or the Warriors currently passing the ball like there's no tomorrow.
