supposedly jay had a response diss to pac that he performed only once at the apollo that was over the "no diggity" beat. then pac died and he buried it.

Jay has confirmed this.

it's definitely "please settle down". There are 2 issues here. There is a pause between "set" and "tle". In that same pause, there is a kick drum. So it all kinda runs together when combined with the main sample and that other little noise. You can hear more clearly at the end of the song during the breakdown when they take the sample out. Back then, I thought it was "be set clear" lol

1:50 into the song, only time I've heard Silkk the shocker not stumble on his words with his weird as flow while being totally off-beat. Took me awhile to find anything were he actually rode the beat, he got a little help from Mr.Magic during the verse though.
