Just hedging bets. When there was a winter storm in Texas I had bottled water. Gave some to some elderly folks in need and had some for myself. It was good because water wasn't good to drink for at least a week. My GF made fun of me for having it a few months ago but when we needed it she was thankful. You don't have to go crazy with it.
